As you head into your second month, your baby is composed of only 18 cells. Still, he’s with-it enough to attach himself to one of your major organs, scraping away vital nutrients using his razorlike proto-incisors and rasping tongue.

This month, the Judging portion of your baby’s brain is developing, and he’s practicing by judging you. Will he find you to be a sufficient host, adequate food source, and acceptable shelter-provider? You can hope. Continue to eat well and stay on his good side.
